Northern Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky
From Hangar 17 Western Junction near Launceston comes The Launceston Distillery Tawny Port Cask Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky. Matured in French oak casks previously used to age tawny fortified wine (Australian style port), a number of small casks have been “married” together to produce a rich robust whisky at 46% Alcohol.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep amber.
Taste: A smooth, rich mouthfeel is coupled with tawny-influenced flavours of dried fruit, Christmas pudding, cinnamon and clove.
Nose: A sweet pleasant nose, with dark chocolate, berries, raisins and toffee.
Finish: A long, warming finish with sweet tawny flavours dominating.
