Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted barley and sea spray, with candied peels and a touch of lemongrass.
Palate: Soft oak. Runny honey notes take shape, with peanut brittle and cooked fruit in tow.
Finish: Lingering hints of sweet peat.
Kilkerran 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 46% abv
Tasting Notes
Nose: Oak notes are dominant, followed by toasted marshmallows, dried fruit pudding and a hint of peat.
Palate: Initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, after this: vanilla, butterscotch and digestive biscuits can all be tasted and enjoyed.
Finish: Velvety smooth with lemon meringue, to conclude, there’s an oiliness and a saltiness that you’d expect from a Campbeltown dram.
Ardbeg Scorch Single Malt Whisky 46% abv
Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense aromas of soot and smoke. oak, sage and pine wisp their way to the fore.
Palate: An oily mouthfeel grips the senses. Billowy clouds of sweet smoke and charred oak permeate the palate, while grilled fare and black liquorice weave between notes of medicinal lozenge.
Finish: A long and heroic finale, with a subtle tarry aftertaste. A finish that will drag on, well into its happily ever after.
Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2012 Single Malt Whisky 50% abv
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted coconut, baked earth, a little seaweed and raspberries.
Palate: Cedar, vanilla, a juicy hint of raspberry again, slowly building peat smoke and black pepper.
Finish: Subtle salty sea breeze lingers.
Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt Whisky 48% abv
Tasting Notes
Nose: Smoked meats, maple syrup, BBQ lemon, charred oak and a hint of coffee.
Palate: Roasted cedar and peat smoke, with a hint of iodine. Dark chocolate, honey, and vanilla.
Finish: A balanced finish of sherried sweetness and smouldering peat.
BenRiach Peated Cask Strength Batch 1 Single Malt Whisky 56% abv
Tasting Notes
Nose: Charred oak, cinnamon, salted caramel and vanilla.
Palate: Earthy and smoky, with a pinch of white pepper warmth growing at the core. Fresh fruit notes add a hint of sweetness to the background.
Finish: Dry smoke and honey.
