Golden Sunshine in a glass, Limited Release
Batch 5 is a blend of 2 casks, one that previously held a Tasmanian Malt Whisky and the other a Tasmanian Pinot Noir. The whisky was created using 65% oats with equal amounts of rye, barley and wheat. All the grains are grown, mashed, brewed and distilled at Belgrove Distillery and then left to barrel age on site. Grain to glass.
An amber-gold whisky presents aromas of a strawberry Tarte Tatin drizzled in bitter orange liqueur, with hints of freshly dried hay and rose water. On the palate rich flavours of Anzac biscuits and brown sugar are highlighted by cranberries and Campari before mocha and burnt toffee linger on the finish.
Belgrove is one of a very few Whisky distilleries in the world that grows all it's own grain, malts, ferments, distills and barrel ages on site.
Batch 5 was bottled at 52.3% ABV. Natural colour and non chill filtered.
