The GlenDronach Port Wood
GlenDronach Port Wood was crafted by Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie. Initially aged in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks before finishing its aging in Port pipes from Douro Valley in Portugal, for three years for a total of 10 years of maturation.
Nose: Dried raisins and dates, fresh juicy tropical notes, berries and flaky buttered croissants.
Palate: Chocolate fudge and caramlised brown sugar, dark fruits – blackberry crumble with gentle, rich oak.
Finish: Mixed grapes and tannic oak, lingering fruity sweetness, and charred wood.
