Taiwanese whisky superstars launch their first gin.
The Kavalan Gin - the very first Taiwan-inspired craft gin features botanicals sourced from the local area of Yilan, just outside Taipei. To showcase Taiwan’s reputation as a fruit paradise, the gin features local products: succulent starfruit, sweet red guava, and zesty kumquat peel, alongside several traditional gin botanicals.
After 10 years of making whisky, Kavalan master blender Ian Chang wanted to try his hand at creating a gin. Staying true to the standard botanicals of juniper, aniseed and coriander, Chang also included a taste of Yilan producing an elegant, fresh and flavoursome gin reflective of where it comes from.
A rare, single malt gin produced from only the purest of spirit. Featuring a delicious blend of several botanicals of distillate and extract. Bottled with the crystal waters of Snow Mountain’s ancient springs.
The gin is double charcoal-filtered, triple distilled and bottled at 40% ABV.
