Rare Cask PARA 100 is Lark's most recent release in their Rare Cask Series, bottled at 56.3%abv with only 450 bottles released, this single malt has been finished in casks that once held 100-year-old Seppeltsfield Para Vintage Tawny.
Producing flavours that are impossibly long and luxurious, the unmistakable age of the oak creates chapters of mouth-watering complexity that speak of elegance and intrigue. Thick treacle pudding with brandied custard moves into wood-fired raisin bread, coffee, and blackberry jam with deep, dark undertones.
Believed to be the world’s only unbroken lineage of single vintage wines, Seppeltsfield's 100-year-old Para Vintage Tawny is the only Australian wine to have ever scored a perfect 100/100 by renowned critic, James Halliday. The finishing casks from Seppeltsfield held the final maturation stage of their 100-year-old 1921 vintage Tawny, leaving behind exciting notes of the Tawny’s past lives on our finest single malt whisky.
