The Oloroso edition was aged for five years in first fill ex-Bourbon casks followed by two years in Oloroso sherry casks, creating a rich and luscious dram bursting with flavours of honeycomb, figs and dates, forest berries and dark chocolate. Kudos to Master Distiller/Blender Michael D'souza and the whole Paul John team for this wonderful dram.
A new special edition of Indian single malt from the sunny Goan coasts, the Oloroso Select Cask is a sensational explosion of incredible flavours. With dark mahogany hues, this exquisite expression presents an aromatic tapestry of sherry influenced fragrances of peach and apricot with a light note of molasses and blood orange. Sublimely finished in Oloroso casks, its soft flavours are filed with a nutty chocolate and Melton Hunt cake. The long finish is intense and sweet with delicious heavy spices imbibed from the Oloroso casks and melded with a dash of coffee mocha and sumptuous dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes:
Nose : Peach, apricot, dates, buttery malt and light notes of molasses and blood orange.
Taste : Soft and sweet, honeycomb, forest berries, with nutty chocolate cake and orange peels.
Finish : Long, intense and sweet with delicious heavy spices imbibed from the Oloroso casks, mulberry jam, a dash of coffee mocha and sumptuous dark chocolate.
Balance : An intense and a complex single malt with a sensational explosion of incredible flavours.
