Whisky Bible 2019 Best Irish Whiskey
Redbreast cask strength is the Irish whiskey that you would select in the Whisky World XI. This is a full-throttled Irish whiskey drinking experience. Originally an independent bottling of Jameson's by Gilbeys in the 1939. It was so popular that Irish Distillers bought the name from Gilbeys in the the 1990s and re-branded it as a 12 year old.
Nose: Sherried peels, candied ginger and fruitcake.
Palate: Oily malt with layers of chocolate, sherry and fruits of the forest jam. Punchy cinnamon and more ginger.
Finish: Tangy pineapple and mango, paired with stewed plums.
