The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Years Old forms part of their Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. 

Laying undisturbed in the same casks for a quarter of a century, this distinguished single malt is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. During this time the maturing spirit transforms to create this luxurious single malt whisky characterised by its rich flavours of vanilla, dried fruits and ginger spice with a long finish and rich mahogany colour.

The Macallan has long been a name associated with whisky excellence, often being referred to as the Rolls Royce of whisky. From its humble beginnings back in 1824 when the distillery was first established by a local barley farmer in the Highlands of Scotland, The Macallan brand has grown and is today recognised globally as one of absolute distinct quality.

Despite being the second biggest selling single malt whisky by volume in the world, second only to The Glenlivet, The Macallan still take great pride in remaining true to the visions, values, processes and techniques used for over a century to ensure the quality of their highly revered product. This includes the use of their now famous small-copper-stills, from which they only take 16% of the final distillation – what they call “the best of the best”- and the sourcing of the finest Spanish and American sherry casks.
