The Glenglassaugh Limited Edition Madeira Cask Launch Online Event

Online Event: Destination Cellars is honoured to be chosen to be the exclusive Australian retailer for the Glenglassaugh Single Cask Madeira Cask. To celebrate will be drinking the limited release alongside some other great drams from the multi award winning Glenglassaugh Distillery on Thursday evening June 10th at 7.30pm with Global Brand Ambassador Stewart Buchanan. 

Glenglassaugh rare cask release Highland single malt whisky, was hand selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie. Glenglassaugh has been described as a 'coastal' distillery, being located at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay on the north coast of Speyside near Glen Deveron and Banff. 

 The Glenglassaugh Online Pack consists of 4 x 15ml:

1. Revival - this is the first expression released from Glenglassaugh distillery after being mothballed for more than 20 years. The Glenglassaugh Revival has been matured in a mix of ex-red wine and bourbon casks, then finished in sherry casks. Bottled at 46%, non chill filtered and of natural colour, Revival is a stunning Highland single malt with a coastal charm.

2. Evolution -  matured in ex-Tennessee first-fill whiskey barrels. This expression shows great depth of character and finesse, a harmonious combination of whisky and oak. Bottled at 50%, natural colour and non chill filtered, Evolution represents the heart of Glenglassaugh’s distinctive personality, and indeed the landscape in which it is set.

3. Port Wood Finish - the elemental freshness of their coastal spirit is invigorated in Glenglassaugh Port Wood finish. Whilst finishing in ruby Port pipes, the oak’s open structure combines with the influence of the sea, as waves of dark fruit ebb in harmony with fresh mint and fruit zest. For a moment, you may find yourself picking berries in a herb garden, enlivened by the sea.

4. Single Cask Limited Edition 2009 11YO 54.7% Madeira Cask - the star of the show, this single cask expression shows great depth of character and finesse, a harmonious and seductive combination of gentle spirit bursting with tropical fruit flavours from the Madeira cask. Bottled at 54.7%, with natural colour and is non chill filtered.
