An evening with Chris Condon of Launceston Distillery
Chris Condon Of Launceston Distillery kindly came down from Launceston with some of his prized first releases to share some anecdotes and explain what they're doing in Hanger 17. Clearly a popular man in Tasmanian distilling circles as he drew no less than 6 distillers and independent bottlers and a couple of aspiring distillers to boot! It was a fascinating hear his story and sample some of their wonderful offerings. A great night was had by all present. A big thanks to Chris from us at Destination Cellars.
Highland Park Tasting
A celebration of Viking heritage A large and enthusiastic crowd gathered at Hadley's Hotel on Tuesday night to sample 6 expressions from legendary Scottish distillery Highland Park. Spirits platform's Bridget Rogers and Gareth Jones crossed the Bass Straight with suitcases of discontinued whisky, fortuitously discovered gathering dust in the back of their warehouse. They educated us with an interesting presentation on the Orkney Islands, the people and Highland Park Whisky.
